Each instructor must have extensive experience in the category that they teach, know how to present it professionally  and be  able to assist students with a commitment above and beyond  the average instructor.  All instructors are approved for instructing courses qualifying for certification through the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning, Restoration Certification (IICRC) .  Horizon Consultants and its instructors abide by the ethics and  standards of the IICRC.

 

      

 

           Doug Bowles  started his cleaning career in the late 70's in Aspen, Colorado and has been an owner and operator of a cleaning business ever since.  He and his wife, Sandy, currently own a cleaning and restoration business located in Dalton, Georgia.  Doug  has been teaching professional carpet and upholstery cleaning courses for over 18 years.  His extensive background in the cleaning industry has made him one of the most popular sources for  literally thousands of professional cleaners internationally.  Doug is also a carpet consultant for many carpet mills, fiber producers 's,  fabric manufacturers and retailers.  Doug's humorous  approach to instructing is entertaining  while still educational. Whether the subject is carpet, upholstery, rug cleaning or business management, you will find his courses interesting and profitable.

 

    

        

           Sandy Bowles  is our expert in the field of restoration.  Sandy has owned and  operated a cleaning and restoration business since1970 and is still doing so in Dalton, Georgia.  Sandy can assist  you  with your needs in understanding the ins and outs of smoke and fire restoration, water damage restoration and how to create a successful and profitable  restoration business. Her experience is vast to say the least and she consults with companies  both large and small. Sandy's teaching ability is bar-none.  She has helped many certified restorers and cleaners to translate technical information into simple system accomplishment. You do not want to miss her instructing events.

 

 

           Don Magnussen is our Canadian instructor.  Don has been in the cleaning  and restoration businesses for over 25 years and provides a wide range  of information that approaches the subjects from the Canadian side of the fence.  Don is one of the most personable people you would want  to meet and has a sincere desire to help others in his industry.

 

    Bruce DeLoatch  is an owner/operator of Phoenix Carpet Care, Inc located in Suwanee, Georgia.  He is director for the Cleaner's Coach, a consulting firm dedicated to helping improve professionalism in cleaning and restoration businesses.  Bruce also writes SOLUTIONS newsletter with a current circulation of over 1,200 targeted to cleaning and restoration subjects.  His presentations are lively and his teaching style keeps students focused on learning the essentials and beyond.
